Location Based Services
Using a standard GPS system and a cellular modem, Traffilog's advanced Location-Based Services (LBS) system allows for continuous checks on any given vehicle's location - in real-time. This service includes a trip planner, panic button, time monitor, driver identity, administrative tracking of insurance, license and registration renewal, and issues a warning in case of unauthorized vehicle use. The system is easy to implement and use. Once up and running, it results in significant operational fleet cost-savings, and optimal resource management. The LBS system is specially designed to meet a wide range of customer requirements in various business fields. The system independently performs calculations using a powerful internal processor, saving valuable data transmission time. Data transmission occurs only when abnormal event warnings are sent, or as pre-defined by the individual customer. The system provides the following warnings and reports:
Emergency Report - transmitted via SMS, email, or online information system
Traffilog's system is equipped with an internal GPS antenna, enabling precise, real-time vehicle positioning. The system's processor transmits data to Traffilog's servers for easy recording and report generation. With the Track and Trace system, vehicles routes are easily monitored, as well as the simulation of previous journey routes - anywhere - at any time. The system's GPS clearly identifies vehicle location, while it guides drivers to pre-defined addresses. This allows for comprehensive route planning and scheduling - saving valuable fuel, time, and operating costs. The system provides real-time vehicle location and the retrieval of historical routes, and generates detailed reports, including deviation from authorized geographical areas and customer layers. The Track and Trace system provides real-time warnings when vehicles have deviated from approved geographical areas. Traffilog’s online command and control information systems enable virtual delimiting of geographical zones/approved driving zones, including urban areas, open areas and highways. Once an approved area has been defined, the system automatically monitors the location of each and every vehicle. Should a driver deviate from these areas, he receives an audio warning (buzzer) updating him on the deviation, while at the same time, a report is sent to the fleet manager. |
